It's only wrong when the other side does it

This election cycle is making the 2008 presidential race look like a freaking trip to the ice cream parlor. It's been amazing to watch the Republican candidates try to outdo each other with their whack job extremism, especially when it comes to the Jeebus and hating Muslims (and let's not forget that Black people = food stamp recipients. The assholes don't even try to hide their bigotry any more).

As much as I enjoy a good freakshow, I'm getting really sick of the amazing hypocrisy and lack of self-awareness when it comes to god and theocracy. These people (excluding Hunstman and maybe Romney) are massive panderers to the racist, teabagger swimmers in the shallow end of the gene pool, who are paranoid that the US is being overtaken by the evil Moooooslims and Sharia Law. Meanwhile, Santorum, Perry, and Bachmann were all fixated on the Jeebus and creating the perfect Christian society by creating laws based on their belief systems. Ummmmm...isn't that what Sharia is? Laws and government based on religious doctrine?

That popping noise you hear is my head exploding after reading shit like this

Rival presidential candidate Rick Santorum's Iowa coalitions director, Jamie Johnson, sent out an email saying that children's lives would be harmed if the nation had a female president. [...]
"The question then comes, 'Is it God's highest desire, that is his biblically expressed will,...to have a woman rule the institutions of the family, the church, and the state?'" Johnson's email said.

Google Santorum. Google Santorum a gazillion times a day. Tell your friends and family to Google Santorum.

Fuckers.
